Corporate & Commercial Law
We advise on all aspects of corporate and commercial law - from sourcing a business to acquire, to acquiring the business and to running the businesses. We conduct due diligence investigations for mergers and acquisitions and project finance and structuring. We advise on the acquisition and disposal of shares and companies. We also advise on securities, JSE filings, disclosure requirements, and corporate governance best practices. In addition, we act for and on behalf of our clients in corporate and commercial disputes, including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and other complex commercial litigation matters, both in court and through alternative dispute resolution methods such as arbitration and mediation. We advise in all aspects of individual and collective labour law and we act for employers and employees in various employee and employer related disputes.

Intellectual Property Law

We advise and assist in registering trademarks for brands, logos, and slogans with the CIPC and providing ongoing counsel on trademark enforcement and protection strategies. We represent clients in intellectual property disputes, including trademark infringement, patent litigation, copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and unfair competition litigation, both in state courts. We also draft and negotiate licensing agreements that allow clients to monetize their intellectual property assets by granting others the right to use, manufacture, distribute, or sell their patented inventions, copyrighted works, or trademarks.

Environmental Law and Sustainability
