Neil is a Consultant at Thomson Wilks Attorneys and specialises in corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on corporate structuring, share transactions, acquisitions, corporate governance and multi – jurisdictional transactions. He has lived in Mauritius for a number of years and worked as in-house Counsel to a major global management company. During this time he transacted with various multi-nationals, public and private investors. He is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and advises on family wealth protection.
His specific areas of sectoral experience include: Offshore investment and business structuring; mining; medical and aviation.
Neil also deals with business rescue and insolvencies and has over 10 years specialisation experience in this field with one of the leading insolvency firms in South Africa where he held the position of director. He has been involved with large liquidations such as that of Retail Apparel Group, Edcon and Intramed and advises corporate clients on financial distress, business rescue and insolvency proceedings.
