Jean-Roux completed his BCom Law degree with a major in financial accounting at Nelson Mandela University in 2016 and obtained his LLB (Cum Laude) also from Nelson Mandela University in 2019. During his studies, he obtained Dean’s List for 2017 and 2018 and graduated top of his class in Law of Taxation, Human Rights Law, and Legal Practice.
After completing his studies, Jean-Roux completed his articles at Joubert Galpin Searle in Port Elizabeth where he added value through the drafting of employment and commercial agreements, liquidation and sequestration applications, various court processes, and gained practical court experience.
Since joining Pieterse Sellner Erasmus TRM Tax Attorneys in January 2021, he has been heavily involved in implementing tax-efficient corporate structures; utilising the corporate rules contained in the Income Tax Act for corporate restructuring, as well as tax debt management. He has also more recently started to get involved in tax dispute resolution.
