Wihann Joubert joined VZLR in 2010. Since he completed his LLB Degree at the University of South Africa the plight of the disenfranchised due to medical malpractice became his focus. Wihann was admitted as an Attorney during December 2012 and immediately thereafter was appointed as a professional assistant in VZLR’s Personal Injury, Medical Law and Third Party Claims Department. Wihann’s Masters Degree juxta posed two contentious subjects currently heavily debated in South Africa: The Constitution of South Africa and Personal Injury caused by asphyxia at birth.
He completed his Master’s degree in Medical Law and Ethics cum laude at the University of Pretoria in 2017. Wihann appeared on National Television (Carte Blanche) in 2017 as subject matter specialist to contextualise Constitutional consequences of personal injury caused by medical negligence. Wihann further appeared as guest speaker at various SAMLA (South African Medico-Legal Association) events.
