Waldo obtained his LLB degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth in December 2009 and joined VZLR as a candidate attorney during January 2010. Waldo was admitted as an attorney during July 2011 and appointed as a professional assistant in VZLR's General Litigation department and later promoted to an Associate in November 2014 and appointed as a director on 1 March 2017.
Waldo focuses on, amongst other things, Personal Injury and Professional Negligence matters, Corporate and Commercial law, Registration and De-registration of Companies, General Civil Litigation in the High and Magistrates' Courts, Insurance law, the National Credit Act, the Consumer Protection Act, Defamation, Evictions and Rental Housing matters, Promotion of Administrative Justice and Access to Information, Criminal Law and Debt Collections.
Waldo also has an interest in forensic investigations and cybercrime and has completed various certificates in this regard. In addition, he has undertaken further studies in the field of Private Security Services Law, which focuses on inter alia private military companies, mercenaries and other private security service providers.
