Liam has practiced as attorney in the Litigation Department since his admission. He has managed our general litigation and collections department where he was involved in various general civil litigation disputes and catered for the litigation needs of several banks and commercial clients relating to motor vehicle asset finance agreements, home loan agreements, commercial credit agreements, and bad debts.
Liam transferred within the litigation department in November 2016 to his current role. He, however, maintains an oversight and advisory role to the general litigation and collections department.
In his present role, Liam, inter alia, undertakes civil litigation on behalf of several South African regulators, across various platforms from tribunals to the Constitutional Court, in action and application proceedings brought by and against the regulators. He regularly appears in the High Court on behalf of our clients. His experience includes statutory interpretation disputes, Constitutional Law disputes, administrative law disputes, and enforcement of our clients’ regulatory mandates (which includes the regular prosecution of disciplinary proceedings brought against legal practitioners).
Outside of the litigation sphere, Liam also provides legal assistance and advice as part of multi-disciplinary team involved in forensic investigations in association with RW Forensics.
