Carol completed her LLB summa cum laude at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban in 2003 and was awarded the KwaZulu-Natal Law Society Prize for achieving first place in her law degree. After completing her articles and being admitted as a Notary Public and Conveyancer, she practised as a general litigation attorney for several years before returning to her studies. Carol was awarded a Clarendon Scholarship to read for the BCL degree at the University of Oxford.
She has been a member of the Commercial Property team for 10 years, having joined the firm in 2011. She originally practiced in the Commercial team, which has given her good experience in commercial drafting and complex commercial transactions.
Carol specialises in property law and property related transactions. Carol is experienced in commercial property transfers, commercial bonds, residential transfers, residential bonds, estate transfers, and transfers pursuant to divorce settlements.
She is conversant with notarial transactions, including registration of mining rights and associated transactions. She is an admitted attorney, notary and conveyancer.
