Kurshivan joined this firm in 2016 as a Senior Associate, having worked as a specialist labour & criminal law attorney for Harkoo, Brijlal & Reddy Incorporated. In March 2017 Kurshivan was promoted to Partner.

In 2019 Kurshivan’s practice grew substantially in its litigation arm. His practice has formed an even balance between Labour Court and High Court litigation. This gives him a better presence provincially in that his practice is able to offer specialized assistance in civil and labour court proceedings.

Kurshivan has successfully represented municipalities, trade unions and private individuals in labour, civil and criminal matters in various forums.

Kurshivan has litigated successfully in the Constitutional Court, Labour Appeal Court, High Court, Labour Court, Magistrates Court, CCMA and various bargaining councils.

He has obtained certificates of excellence in Magistrate’s Court and Criminal Court Practice. He has completed an advanced course in Business Rescue Practice. He is the Ex-President of SASLAW (KZN) and remains on the executive committee.
