Brett commenced his articles of clerkship in 1984 and has practiced as a specialist labour attorney for over 20 years.
He was a partner in Chennels Albertyn before establishing the current firm together with Benita Whitcher (who has recently been made a Judge of the Labour Court).
He is a private arbitrator and has acted as a part time Commissioner of the CCMA, and Acting Judge of the Labour Court.
Brett has delivered lecture courses to the Workers’ College, various Trade Unions as well as lecturing on labour law to candidate attorneys at the Practical Training School in the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
