Hanelle Vrey is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa after having completed her articles of clerkship in Illovo Johannesburg.
Hanelle obtained her LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg. Hanelle is a member of the South African Society for Labour lawyers (SASLAW) and also sits on the Labour Court's pro-bono office in Johannesburg.
Hanelle spesialises in Employment Law and advised and represented various employers and employees in both the public and private sector involved in both Labour Court and CCMA disputes. She therefore has a close understanding of the workings of such forums.
Acting on behalf of a Trade Union for a number of years, Hanelle obtained thorough experience in collective labour law.
Hanelle has represented various employers in the following industries: Banking, Telecommunications, Mining, Insurance and Consulting.
Hanelle presented at the 2019 Annual Shop Steward conference on conflict in the workplace. In 2022 Hanelle presented on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the legal profession.
