Liesl de Lange matriculated from Framesby High school in 1985. She completed her B. Comm (Law) and LLB degrees from the University of Port Elizabeth in 1992.
She commenced her legal career at the RAF fund in Cape Town as consultant from December 1991 until May 1993.
She returned to the Eastern Cape and completed her articles at Kitchings Attorneys in Uitenhage during May 1993.
Liesl was admitted as attorney in 1995 and as conveyancer in 1996.
She joined Greyvensteins Attorneys as an Conveyancer in January 1996 and became a shareholder the following year.
During the latter part of 1997 she joined Burmeisters Attorneys as a conveyancer and also qualified as a notary in 1997. She held the position of senior conveyancer for 16 years
During 2013 she practiced for her own account under Barnard Attorneys.
