Christiaan Mauritz Morton completed his B.Proc Degree Cum Laude at the University of the Free State and completed his articles at E.G. Cooper & Sons. Thereafter, employment commenced at Haarhofs in Kimberley and he was added as one of the Directors until the end of January 2003. In February 2003, Christiaan Mauritz Morton joined Gys Louw at KGL Attorneys Alberton where he was added as a Director until February 2009. In March 2009 he commenced his own practice, CMM Attorneys Inc, and began to specialise in National Credit Litigation.
Some interesting facts about CMM Attorneys Inc is that they are responsible for benchmark judgments in the National Credit Act over the last 4 years. All of these relating to the Credit Act, and some cases that made headways are Standard Bank Ltd v Kruger; ABSA v Van Jaarsveld and FNB v Hand.
