History:

Gerrit has had a passion for law since his high school years. He obtained his B.Iuris and LL.B degrees from the University of the Free State and is an admitted attorney and notary.

Gerrit commenced his articles with Symington De Kok in Bloemfontein and relocated to Newcastle in 1992.

Gerrit has been a director of DBM Attorneys since 1995 and initially practiced in the dispute resolution department of the firm.

Gerrit currently specialises in labour law and attends to all legal matters for certain large employers in the chemical industry. His extensive knowledge of labour law is giving the firm a whole new edge.

Gerrit also manages the firm's commercial law and administration of estates departments.
