Lionel Trichardt obtained his LLB in 1996 and his B. Juris Degree in 1994 at Vista University, Port Elizabeth Campus. Lionel also attended the School for Legal Practice in East London from January 1997 – June 1998

Employment history

Lionel completed his candidacy at J.J. Yingwana and Associates in 1998 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in June 1999.

Lionel briefly had his own firm and joined Du Preez, Potgieter and Trichardt form March 2001 to May 2011. In June 2011, Lionel restarted his own private practice.
