History:

Specialisations and interests: Leza has been a practising attorney for 14 years and specialises in general and property commercial transactions, conveyancing and notarial work. Her commercial experience includes the negotiating, drafting and/or vetting of shareholders agreements, sale of interest in companies and trusts, partnership agreements, agreements of sale of business, joint venture agreements, franchise agreements, suretyship agreements and loan agreements. Previous property commercial transactions where she has played an active advisory role include the development , sale and/or lease or commercial premises, hotels, game farms, wind farms and biogas developments. She has acted for various landowners in respect of land claims made by dispossessed communities,drafting the resultant agreements of settlement, sale and/or lease, and provided advice on the nature of property rights in land regulated by traditional authorities. Leza has extensive conveyancing experience, including township developments, sectional title and share block scheme developments, subdivisions and consolidations. She has also acted as panel attorney for the major banks in respect of mortgage bonds as well as notarial bonds. Her experience as notary public encompasses all notarial deeds, including long term leases, notarial ties, cessions and servitudes. Leza has developed and facilitated a number of commercial corporate training programmes and also lectures at the Johannesburg Law School from time to time, covering practice areas including the drafting of commercial contracts, basic conveyancing practice and the law of sale and lease.
