Born, raised and matriculated in Worcester, Andries proceeded to complete his B Comm and LLB degrees at the University of Stellenbosch.
Following the completion of his studies, Andries served his articles at Jan S de Villiers & Son (now Werksmans Attorneys) in Cape Town. Soon after being admitted as an attorney, conveyancer and notary public, Andries returned to Worcester and joined Conradie Inc. (then Conradie & Partners) as a professional assistant.
He has been a partner since 1996. In 1994 he obtained a property valuation certificate from the University of Stellenbosch. In 1997 he obtained an advance diploma in Labour Law from the Randse Afrikaanse Universiteit (now the University of Johannesburg). He has also successfully completed the following UNISA certificate courses in commercial law, namely the Certificate in Corporate Law (NFQ 7, 2014), the Advanced Short Course in Business Rescue Practice (NFQ 8, 2015) and the Advance Corporate Law & Securities Law Course (2018).

He married Tara in 1999 and they have two children.
He is an active member of the Worcester Athletics Club and has completed a number of marathons in their colours, including the Two Oceans and Comrades marathons.
