Penny has been specialising in real estate for more than 20 years. She has a particular interest in property development, working closely with property developers, town planners, surveyors, and project managers.
Over the years she has been involved in several new developments in Johannesburg and surrounds. Developments such as Arts on Main, Main Street Life, Revolution House, The Main Change, Rocket Factory and Craftmen's Ship, all situated within the Maboneng District on the east-side of Johannesburg CBD were unique in that they focused on the redevelopement and rejuvenation of the inner city and consisted of residential and mixed-use developments. The precinct has been hailed as a creative take on history, architecture, art and nature, and the epicentre of the Joburg inner-city renaissance.
She also assisted with the re-development project in Vrededorp known as The Exchange, which consisted of over 200 residential units and used to be an old telephone exchange owned by Telkom, which is the reason for the name.
Penny provides legal advice to property developers for all aspects of a real estate project from “cradle” to “grave” such advice consists of advice related to subdivisions, consolidations, servitudes and sectional title developments.

Recently the firm received the Property and Construction Team of the Year award from African Legal Awards for our involvement in the Maboneng District mixed-use development, one of Penny’s projects.
She provided legal advice to the developers in respect of subdivisions, consolidations and sectional title development regarding the buildings acquired and re-developed within the precinct.
